What is Candiforce?

Candiforce is an antifungal pill that contains itraconazole and is used to treat fungal (or yeast) infections. It belongs to a class of medication called triazoles that are typically used for fungal nail infections that haven't responded to medicated lacquers and foot care.

The degree of infection in the nails usually varies from person to person. Sometimes over-the-counter remedies work effectively, allowing the healthy nail below to grow while the diseased portion of the nail is trimmed off or filed down. However, more often than not, fungal nail infections are severe, requiring treatment for up to a whole year, or even longer.

How does Candiforce work?

Candiforce is an antifungal treatment that is effective against a number of fungal infections. Itraconazole has the ability to degrade and eradicate dermatophytes, a common form of fungus that frequently results in fungal nail infections.

It is rare for fungal nail infections to go away on their own. They are frequently caused due to underlying conditions like athlete's foot or when fungus gets into your nails through gaps. Your doctor may recommend Candiforce if topical medications are unsuccessful in treating your infection and if the fungal nail infections frequently exist deep within the nail bed, out of the reach of topical lotions and lacquers.

What doses of Candiforce are there?

Candiforce is available in 200mg capsules. It is usually prescribed as an interval treatment which means taking one capsule a day for a week and then taking a break for 3 weeks before starting the cycle again. 

For toenail infections, you are usually required to take three cycles. For fingernail infections, you might only need two cycles. Our doctors can help you decide the best course of treatment and they can assist you if you have any doubts.

How to take Candiforce

Candiforce pills must be consumed with or just after a meal, whole, and with a glass of water.

For the triazoles in the medicine to work, they must be taken consistently to be successful. it is best to take it at the same time everyday. It's critical that you complete the whole term of Candiforce as directed by your doctor because if you stop taking it too soon, your infection might return. 

How long does it take for Candiforce to work?

It may take weeks or even months to heal fungus nail infections that are not responding to topical medications. Candiforce won't cure your condition right away, but after a few weeks, you could start to feel better.

The affected portion of your nail should begin to grow out as your nail starts to become better. As the old nail continues to grow, you can trim it. But to stop the illness from spreading, sanitise your nail clippers after each use, and keep them to yourself. Wash your hands after using clippers since fungus can also be transferred to other persons via direct touch with surfaces where it can thrive. 

What should I do if I make a mistake when taking Candiforce?

If you take more than the required dosage of Candiforce, the safest course of action is to visit the doctor immediately.

Even if you've missed a dosage, you should never take more pills than what was recommended. Take your normal dose of Candiforce as soon as you recall if you do forget to take a dose. Skip the missed dosage rather than taking two doses quickly if you forget to take your capsules.
