Doxy SL is usually quickly absorbed, and starts to take effect within 2-4 hours of taking itthe tablet. But although it starts fighting the bacteria quickly, it can take some time for your symptoms to improve.
Your doctor will prescribe the treatment time with Doxy SL based on how severe your acne is. However, in general, it can take anywhere between 6-12 weeks for you to see any noticeable results.
If you forget to take Doxy SL at your usual time, just take it as soon as you remember. If it’s less than twelve hours until your next capsule, skip the missed dose and carry on as normal. Don’t take twice your normal dose to make up for missing a capsule.
